I was walking with my granddaughter who decided we should play chase. Of course, I was chasing her!

During the chase, I had an epiphany or shall I say, inspiration hit! I will run!

OK, folks, first you must understand that I absolutely despise running. I have never ran and I never want to run. Really Lord? Run?

I am on day 3.

Things I have learned running.
1. I can't run very far!
2. I have to make myself run.
3. I don't want to run.
4. I am out of shape, really, really, out of shape!
5. I have to push my body and my mind to run.
6. My muscles are getting sore.
7. I do it out of obedience to God.

Spiritual lessons
1. The body of Christ has allow its muscle to atrophy.
2. It lacks relevance because it has removed itself from the race.
3. It must arise from its place of comfort and get in the race.
4. It is time to strenghten for warfare. We must not be weak any longer.
5. We must push ourselves beyond our natural ability and restore faith in those around us.
6. We might experience some discomfort in our obedience, but we will strengthen as we move forward.
7. Obedience is better than sacrifice, but often obedience requires sacrifice.

I love how the Lord moves in our obedience. The church as a whole and of course not all, have neglected the structure of power God has given us. We must rise up in this day of uncertainty and exercise our faith to see our nation change. We are on a serious precipice of demise if we do not. We have allowed ourselves to become weak and out of shape and in so the influences of this world have affected us, rather than us affecting the world with the power of Jesus. We must, and I am preaching to the choir, rise again.

Let's exercise the faith, hope and surety in the Lord and run the race. Run the race to win. We are not to be competitors, we are to be conquerors. Arise and conquer, restore the days of our youth, run to win this nation.
